Petite Picassos

3½ to 5 Years… And past the stage that you put non-food things in your mouth!

A great introduction to the camp experience. 

1 week session with 2 ½ hours of painting and craft fun with a snack and game in the middle!

We do different things each week always bisque painting and some watercolor and a collage. To lighten things up….Spin art or sand art and at least one surprise craft with glitter and goggle eyes!  

Petite Picassos 3^1/2 - 5 years old  ( siblings up to 7 years old may join us)

CLASSES  start the week of Sept 13^th

New Series for 3 and a 1/2 to 5 year olds. One hour class meets once a week for 5 weeks.  $62  includes  5 classes and all  materials.  We do Bisque, clay, painting and more.

Tuesdays  2:30 pm – 3:30 pm       OR  Wednesdays 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

September 9^th – Thursday             October 15^th – Friday     10:00 am - 12:30 pm   

Sept 27^th - Monday            Sept 28^th  - Tuesday    Sept 29^th –Wednesday

10:00 am - 12:30 pm      $15 per day - includes snack, art materials and tax.

We do one bisque project and a non-ceramic craft project plus games and music. We provide snack.

10% off for 2^nd and 3^rd siblings.  (if an older sibling is a mini-michelangelo or Michelangelo, the 10% off applies to the Picasso)

What do we do?

Who can join us?

You must be 3 and a half (heading into the 4 year old class at pre-K in the fall) to 5 years old and past that stage where you put non-food things in your mouth (we work with beads and small objects), able to follow simple directions in a small group and love arts and crafts. Please bring an oversized t-shirt or other smock or just wear “Art clothes”.

 What do we learn?

We begin to learn about primary and colors, basic stroke technique, dexterity and fine motor practice, how to plan a project and think ahead and how much fun art can be!

Projects are different every series.

There are 5 two-week sessions available this year for 5 to 14 year olds. Kids will be separated by age:

Activities!

We will be working with a variety of materials – learning different skills.  Every Session we will be doing clay, charcoal, make your own t-shirt or other item, a mosaic, and of course bisque techniques. Free paint comes at the end of the day (around 2 pm).  Other projects include collage, watercolor, magic metallics, glass painting, and other crafts, which vary from session to session.  We provide snack with juice and you send lunch.

For example, we work with clay at least one day in every session, but there are a wide variety of skills to learn and projects to make, so every day is different.  By popular request, we do Bubble and Splatter once in each 2- week session.  Some projects change completely from session to session.

Wednesdays 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm    OR      Thursdays 3:00 – 4:00  (we will prorate for Sukkot)

Schedule:

September 9^th – Thursday             October 15^th – Friday      10:00 am - 3:00 pm      

$39 per day  - includes snack, art materials and tax.

Early session: 8:30 – 10:00 am  $4 per day     Games and light crafts

After session: 3:00 – 6:00pm      $7 per day     Games, second snack and light crafts

Both Early and After Session:   $9 per day
